Welcome to our blog

The phrase “Vietnamese Boat People” was coined after the first wave of Vietnamese exodus by boat in the early 1980s. Since then, there have been many photos, video clips and articles about their ordeal, scattered on the Internet. Some of the websites are really rich in contents, in terms of photos and stories, one of which is the PFAC Palawan, Our Second Home Blog.

To gather and sort out interesting info about Vietnamese Boat People, and then to present them in a certain meaningful and interesting order would be a tedious and time consuming task. This blog simply tries to present the most relevant info about Vietnamese Boat People under different categories, such as Pre-exodus, Exodus, Refugee Camps and Resettlement. The viewer is free to glance through different images under each category, and then dive in the related links for more details. This blog is intended to be a living document; more info will be continually added as they are available.

You can have the posts read aloud, or have them translated from English into a language of your choice.
